Service Description

An introductory course for absolute BEGINNERS to improv comedy. No prior experience needed. What is Improv? Improvisation is the art of making up scenes, characters and dialogue on the fly. Everything you create with your scene partners is made up spontaneously without a script (not as hard as you might think!) This 6 week course introduces you to core improv principles such as: How to be an active and responsive listener How to embrace everyone's ideas How to accept, commit and build scenes together. Improv skills are hugely transferable to every day life, it can: Build your confidence personally, socially and professionally. Unleash your self-expression, imagination and creativity Encourage you to 'be present' Boost your mental health and wellbeing. Develop your spontaneity Enhance work presentations & public speaking skills. Help you develop meaningful connections and friendships. What happens in sessions? - Get to know each other via group games and exercises - Work in pairs and small groups playing structured improv scenes (inspired by TV’s Whose Line is it Anyway!) - Build trust - Have lots of fun!
